Sealing technology used in the aerospace sector has to make its mark with small dimensions, stable, lightweight structures, highest precision and low surface friction.
Depending on where they are used, the seals can find themselves exposed to high frequency vibrations, extreme differences in temperature, high pressure levels and aggressive media. Besides its special range of static and dynamic seals, EagleBurgmann also develops special high-precision seals and precision components for engines and other special spheres of application with demanding performance requirements. Examples in this context are the high-precision, ground-to-size elastomer piston rings for drive assemblies’ oxygen and fuel turbines or the metal bellows seals MFL S1 as already successfully used in Ariane 4 rockets.
